My favourite spy movie is 'Casino Royale' (2006) starring Daniel Craig and directed by Martin Campbell. It is the story of James Bond's first mission; he must stop 'Le Chiffre', a banker who finances terrorists. The movie is action packed and is much more realistic than other Bond films.
It does not have nearly as many gadgets as we would expect from a Bond movie, but there is an Aston Martin, a cool looking car that I sure wouldn't mind having!
I also like that 'Casino Royale' makes Bond seem more vulnerable and human; he feels real emotions, even love. Most especially, the movie's plot is very lucid and easy to follow.
